Hudson Valley Credit Union Names 10 Scholarship Winners
Poughkeepsie, NY - August 1, 2023
Hudson Valley Credit Union is excited to announce that three members were named winners in the Annual Scholarship Program offered in partnership with the New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA): Orr Teva of Connecticut IB Academy who will attend Williams College; Kayla Joseph of Our Lady of Lourdes High School who will attend Barnard College; and Miranda Spath of John Jay High School who will attend SUNY Binghamton. The credit union also awarded HVCU scholarships to the three statewide winners and seven additional winners:
- Amanda Johnson of Spackenkill High School, attending Cornell University
- Suhaan Akula of Brewster High School, attending United States Military Academy West Point
- Charlotte Garrand of Georgia's Flowery Branch High School, attending Georgia Institute of Technology
- Noah Bové of FDR High School, attending Cornell University
- Elizabeth Jukowski of FDR High School, attending Wagner College
- Madisyn Rivera of Valley Central High School, attending SUNY Binghamton
- Joseph Ponesse of Newburgh Free Academy, attending SUNY Cortlandt
In total, $19,500 in scholarships were awarded - $18,000 of which came directly from HVCU.
